A Few Weeks in the Northwest

After leaving McMurdo, we spent a few weeks with Kelly's parents in Selah, WA.  Of all the time we've spent with them over the years, we've never done any wine tasting in the area.  Central Washington has a lot of great wineries, so when we had to make a trip to the Tri-Cities one day, we thought we would do a little tasting on the way back to Selah.  Here's Dave at the Gamache Vintners tasting room in Prosser.

We really enjoyed the beautiful entrance and building at the newly opened 14 Hands Winery in Prosser.

A few days later we did a little tour through the Zillah, WA area with our friend Marty.  One of our favorites here was Two Mountain Winery.

Being from Bend, we have to have a photo of beer.  We made a two day trip to Bend in early March to take care of some things.  While there we had some beautiful weather and enjoyed a pint at Greg's Grill after doing a walk along the Deschutes River.
