Our 4th Annual Trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We flew back to PV on March 14 for our annual beach vacation.  Norman flew down the same day we did and we met him at the airport when we landed.  Here are Norman and Kelly enjoying the sun at Ritmo's.

Most days we went from the beach to Nu around 3:00 for 2 for 1 margaritas.

After that we would usually return to our condo for some pool time.  Here's Kelly!

Dave cooling off in our condo pool.

Kelly takes his turn on the floatie.

One day we made a trek up the drive beside our place to visit Wade at Villa San Francisco.  Here are Kelly & Wade in their pool.  You can see our condo over Wade's shoulder.

Another shot of our condo from the Villa San Francisco pool.  Our place is the one below the top unit.

Sunset from our condo.

Here we are with our favorite waiter Carlos at The Swedes restaurant. It's one of our favorite places to eat and have a drink while in PV.

Manuel is the bartender at the Crows Nest, the bar at The Swedes.  He's the best bartender in town!!!

We enjoy going to No Way Jose for dinner and having a Chicken Caesar Salad made table side.

Norman & Dave chatting with with of the local vendors at Ritmo's.

Kelly with his vodka tonic after a day at the beach.

Kelly and Norman relaxing at our condo, La Aguilera.

Another beautiful sunset.

These bougainvilleas liven up the pool area at our condo.

One of the many beautiful bougainvillea trees in the area.

Kelly took a few more flower photos shown here and below.

The Malecon is the wide walkway that runs adjacent to the shoreline.  We walk and run along here most every morning.

One day after running along the Malecon, we came across a block of colorfully painted buildings.

Kelly also took these photos of some tiled mosaics, which line the wall of a local school.

This market is a great place to shop with a bakery, deli, wine shop and produce shop.

The sun sets on yet another Puerto Vallarta vacation.

A Few Weeks in the Northwest

After leaving McMurdo, we spent a few weeks with Kelly's parents in Selah, WA.  Of all the time we've spent with them over the years, we've never done any wine tasting in the area.  Central Washington has a lot of great wineries, so when we had to make a trip to the Tri-Cities one day, we thought we would do a little tasting on the way back to Selah.  Here's Dave at the Gamache Vintners tasting room in Prosser.

We really enjoyed the beautiful entrance and building at the newly opened 14 Hands Winery in Prosser.

A few days later we did a little tour through the Zillah, WA area with our friend Marty.  One of our favorites here was Two Mountain Winery.

Stacks of wine casks at Two Mountain Winery.

Being from Bend, we have to have a photo of beer.  We made a two day trip to Bend in early March to take care of some things.  While there we had some beautiful weather and enjoyed a pint at Greg's Grill after doing a walk along the Deschutes River.
