On Saturday October, 5 we drove to Seattle to visit our friend Teri Fox (unfortunately her partner Charlee was gone on business). We went with Teri to the Tacoma Museum of Glass where there was to be a showing of the movie "Antarctica, A Year On Ice", which was playing as part of the Tacoma Film Festival. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties they weren't able to show the film, so we had to settle for having a drink along the riverfront with other friends from Antarctica, who were also there for the movie.
There was this beautiful Chihuly glass sculpture outside the museum.
Another shot of the Chihuly glass.
This cone was the roof of the Glass Museum, but this cloud made it look like a smoking volcano.
Dave's niece Kara and her partner Kate live in Tacoma, so they came to the museum to visit with us.
Sunday October 6, was Dave's birthday and we went to brunch with Teri and met up with our friend Paul. Here's Paul & Dave having mimosas.
We had brunch at this new place on Lake Union called Westward. After brunch we had another round of mimosas while sitting in the sun. It was an usually beautiful fall day for Seattle.
We had a great view of the city across the lake.

After brunch we said goodbye to Teri and drove back over to Kelly's parents house.
We ended up buying this little cake to celebrate Dave's birthday that night.
