Christmas fun "Antarctica Style".

Oh the Holiday Season!
We put up the Christmas decorations in our room and on the front of our door a couple weeks ago. It sure helped to get us both into the Christmas spirit.  We had a fun 2 day weekend for the Holiday starting with hosting our annual G&T party in the room.  We have done this several years now and the guests drink from Christmas straws. This year, thanks to our friend Gift the straw tradition lived on.

Each year Dave creates a Christmas tree on the wall from lights and we hang a few ornaments and the cards we receive on it.
Below are more pictures of the room.

Zak and Brenda.

We had about 25 people show up, here are friends in the hallway. Melanie and Kim, Pete in the Santa hat and Amy with Geoff in the back.

Here's a photo of some of the folks we work with.

After the party in our room we went to the town Christmas Party.  It's held in the Vehicle Maintenance Building and always has a good turn out.  Here's Alex and Kelly.

Brenda, Tracy, Kevin, Dave, Jen, Kelly and Luke.

Here's Frostyboy Dave and the original Frostyboy.

Kelly and Burke.

Kelly and Dave's Christmas stockings filled with goodies.

Kelly had coffee, laundry soap, Altoids and a BMW key chain in his stocking.  How did Santa know we were out of laundry detergent and that doing our laundry is Kelly's job???

Dave's stocking had candies, mints, a BMW jump drive and a hand made card.

Wrapped Christmas gifts.

Dave and his die cast model of our car.

Kelly wanted a Springbok Rugby Jersey and didn't buy one when we were in South Africa, but Dave got him one for Christmas.

Here's Dave and all his gifts. A cool copper picture frame made by our friend Candy, noise cancelling head phones, undies and a die cast model of our car.

Kelly and his presents. Jersey, coffee and Top Gear DVD's.  His other gifts arrived on Monday's flight, a knife and January issue of New Zealand Autocar.

Later Christmas Day we met friends in the lounge of our building for wine and cheese.  Here we have Pam, Liz, Dave and Wendy.  This is a Christmas tradition we do every year prior to Christmas dinner.
