Heading to McMurdo Station, Antarctica

October 2nd, and here we go. Dave and I got dressed in the proper cold weather gear for the 5 hour flight from Christchurch to McMurdo. We had a great flight and arrived to beautiful weather. But all good things come to a end. By Saturday October 6th the weather had turned really cold and windy. I was outside much of the day and Dave came with the crew to the airfield to help download and upload the C17. With the wind chill we reached -70 degrees below zero, it was brutal.

SUPER-BUBBA! KELLY, are you wearing a cape with your bib over-alls? I'm sure you will start a fashion craze with this new style. Maybe we can combine this with my Maggie-Barnes blouse...
